Brief for:
Foot Locker and Asics design products and experiences that support real people, with real thoughts, real hopes, real challenges . . . real lives. Running helps them get better physically and mentally, improving themselves and those around them.
The motivation to run goes beyond exercise; it’s a form of self-expression. We asked filmmakers to make a documentary film celebrating real people and the reasons they run for the 2nd year of the Real Lives. Real Runners campaign.
Foot Locker and Asics narrowed down the video submissions to 5 finalists. These :60 spots aired on Foot Locker’s social media platforms for the world at large to vote on the films. The top 3 films then attended an exclusive event in New York City leading up to the NYC marathon where the filmmakers and their subject presented their work to a panel of judges. The winning spot aired during the TCS NYC Marathon.
And here’s the winning spot and finalists:
Second Chances by Sean Brown feat. Matthew Williams
Hope by Ashley Avis feat. Prince Mumba
One More Step by Joshua Traywick feat. Rhaasan Nichols
