MOFILM is hiring a new Community Manager! We’re looking for someone with a fresh perspective and the expertise to help us grow the best and most diverse filmmaking community in the world.

This is a full time permanent role in our London office.

About MOFILM

MOFILM is not like other agencies and production companies. We believe that crowds will always outperform siloes. So rather than having an in-house creative department, we have a community of over 10,000 filmmakers, influencers and writers from all over the world who we connect with brands to create video content in all shapes and sizes.

We don’t follow traditional agency processes or models either. From using social data to understand what video an audience is watching on which platforms, to testing the content with real audiences in days, not weeks, each step of our creative process is boosted by technology to create better content, which means that we can offer our clients fresh, creative, tech-enabled perspectives. The Role

The Community Manager is responsible for growing and nurturing our talented creative community. Responsibilities include many of the following, but will be as broad as your imagination!

  • Planning and organising community events
  • Building innovative specialist crowds within the filmmaking community
  • Identifying and building relationships and partnerships with relevant film bodies, festivals, events and schools
  • Building relationships with new filmmakers and introducing them to MOFILM
  • Managing social and email communications with community
  • Working with MOFILM producers to identify most relevant filmmakers for their projects
  • Running filmmaker competitions and initiatives to generate sign-ups and participation
  • Leading company wide initiatives and contributing to MOFILM’s culture

We’re looking for a self-motivated, energetic, entrepreneurial individual with high emotional intelligence, who’ll bring their skills and passion to the role as well as the wider MOFILM business.

Desired experience

Minimum 3 years’ experience working with, identifying or managing talent in a creative industry- for example:

  • Managing influencer or filmmaker talent
  • Working in film festivals, or for an online video platform, or at a creative organisation like D&AD
  • Working at a big production house managing signed talent
  • Could have a broadcast / commissioning background

Bonus experience 

  • Work in an environment where technology was at the heart of the business
  • Experience working with brands
