When our friends at The World’s 50 Best Restaurants got in touch to ask if we’d like to film some of the world’s best dining establishments in partnership with their sponsor The Glenlivet, we jumped at the opportunity.
The Glenlivet wanted to highlight three of the key flavour profiles from their range. Reflecting the quality of their product, we worked in partnership with The World’s 50 Best Restaurants to select three chefs from the current list with the brief to #ShowUsYourFlavor.
We worked with MOFILMers Will Warr (UK) and Jake Viramontez (US) to create platform-optimised edits for both The World’s 50 Best and The Glenlivet’s social media pages.
Will (of Detail Films) travelled to Singapore to film David Pynt of Burnt Ends discuss aromatic smokiness
Meanwhile, across the pond, Jake paid a visit to Dominique Crenn of Atelier Crenn in San Francisco to find out about her use of creamy sweetness, whilst in New York City he filmed Thomas Carter and Ignacio Mattos of the acclaimed Estela on the subject of delicate spice.
And if you haven’t seen it before, now’s a good time to mention MOFILM-owned Foodiehub – our social channel with the mission to connect the world through food.
All content on Foodiehub is produced, presented and distributed by our community of filmmakers and influencers. So if you’re a MOFILMer with a special interest in creating films about food who wants to get their work seen then please be sure to update your profile on our platform or drop our channel director Sam Lynas a note at sam.lynas@mofilm.com
