Refreshed and revamped: welcome to our new site

By MOFILM

Some exciting news…

We’ve just launched our shiny, new website. Hooray! We’re always looking for ways to improve how we work with our community, so here are the updates:

  • New profile pages to show off your reel, the work you’re most proud of, and your experience and interests
  • A revamped projects page so you can see the status of all our projects and know exactly which of those you can pitch for
  • A members’ area overhaul to make working together even more efficient

When you log into the site for the first time, you’ll be asked to renew your password and update your profile. Don’t see this as a chore! Think of it more as a simple Facebook status update. We really LIKE to know as much about you as possible: your latest work, new expertise, your location and experience. We’re all ears. The more we know, the better equipped we are to understand which of our briefs are perfect for you. Add a profile picture too, so we can put a face to the name.

“Where are all the contest briefs?”

I hear you and the truth is our clients love doing MOFILM ‘pro’ projects with us, so we’re doing more and more of them. They like the diversity of ideas and perspectives they get from different voices, mixed with the focus on specific expertise and in-house curation that pro offers. We’ll still run contests from time to time, but more pro briefs means:

  • More high profile projects and exposure
  • More money
  • More upfront production budget

You can check out some of the great films our community has been working on recently on the project page.

With the move to more pro, we want to make sure you feel valued when submitting work. Spending hours on a treatment not knowing if you’re onto something can be painstaking. So, from now on, we’ll be really specific and transparent about what we need from you when you pitch an idea. We’ll ask for less upfront and then, if your rough idea or thinking is sound, we’ll shortlist your idea and pay you for a fuller treatment or script. That way, you can feel happier dedicating time to making your treatment shine.

Take a wander through the new site, update your profile, peruse the projects page and express interest in any live briefs you’re right for.

If you have any questions or technical issues then you can contact us at community@mofilm.com.
