Brief for:
Red Rose, part of the Brooke Bond Tea family, is one of Canada’s most popular tea brands. Red Rose believes that tea brings people together and helps them find common ground, especially when faced with an uncomfortable conversation.
Red Rose asked MOFILM to create a powerful film that showed a family coming together to have a calm, open conversation, facilitated by tea. In the spirit of openness, they wanted to create an honest, brave spot that would resonate with Canadian audiences.
MOFILM commissioned Joshua Traywick, a long-standing community member, to create the 60″ spot and he wrote a moving piece which featured a young girl introducing her girlfriend to her father. The film has struck a chord with audiences everywhere – generating over 1 million hits on Youtube and some overwhelmingly positive comments.
