Calling documentary filmmakers in the US, Mexico, India, Indonesia, Philippines and Nigeria! We have an exciting new brief for 'Project Leo' who believes access to financial services should be a basic human right. We want you to make a documentary framing the challenges real people face accessing financial services to send, spend, and save money. The impact on their lives. They may not even realize there’s a problem, having accepted the high cost of sending money home, or the inconvenience of carting stacks of cash around. The story should be sourced from the country you live in. There will be 6 documentaries made by 6 filmmakers in the 6 countries above. If you are a filmmaker in one of the six countries above and have documentary filmmaking experience, please download the attached NDA and email it to Anisha.madzounian@mofilm.com. We'll then release full details about the brief, and how to submit your pitch. The first round idea submission deadline is Monday, April 22nd at 9am PST. Good luck!
