Hey guys, a good Friday to one and all.
This week we thought we’d share some good news about some of our recent films!
We were delighted to realise at the beginning that we currently have FOUR great films on screens around the world! We’d like to share them with you and send out a big congratulations to the filmmakers too. It’s amazing for us when your work get’s used as part of major campaigns, chests swelled with pride all round the MOFILM office!
First up then is Iggy Pacanowski’s amazing film Gravity Rush, winner of our Playstation brief for this year’s Lollapalooza competition from back in August.
Iggy’s film can currently be seen on screens across Latin America, we’ve had reports of a few sightings from members of the MOFILM community, we’re tempted to see if there are any cheap tickets for the next flight out there to investigate ourselves! Gravity Rush is also notable in that it was Iggy’s first ever entry to MOFILM, as openers go it’s a pretty good way to start!
Next up then is another winning Playstation brief, this time it’s Todd Doldersum’s awesome film for Little Big Planet Karting. This was a great brief and we really loved the entries, but in the end Todd’s film won out, a really fun and inventive piece of filmmaking! Check it out below…
This is currently screening on a number of channels across North America including Adult Swim, MTV2, Cartoon Network, G4- X Play, Syfy & Nickelodeon. Playstation wrote a small blog about it a the time of it’s original release, but we’d like to send out our congratulations to Todd again here! Lovely stuff.
Lastly then we have two films by someone who’s having a bit of a golden run with MOFILM competitions at the moment, Mr. Sean Cunnigham. Two of Sean’s films are currently being used, though on opposite sides of the world! Sean’s film for Campbell’s Canada Pepperidge Farm Cracker Chips (bit of a mouthful… get it?) is currently showing on TV’s across Canada. Another entry from Lollapalooza, the film made a big impression on the Campbell’s team. Strategy Online wrote a small article about Campbell’s use of crowd sourcing, which you can read here.
In a MOFILM first, Sean’s winning film for Gillette Taj Mahal, is currently being screened in cinemas throughout India before the main feature begins. Another great film, we take our hats off to Sean, keep up the good work, you’re clearly doing something right sir!
Well we hoped you enjoyed those if you hadn’t yet seen them and we hope to be able to bring you much more amazing news in the not too distant future! It’s a real mark of confidence, when brands are comfortable using MOFILM work in larger campaigns as has happened here and shows how MOFILM is going from strength to strength, all because of the incredible work you all keep submitting. We’d like to thank everyone who’s entered any of our competitions, we couldn’t do any of this without you! Here’s to 2013 then and another incredible year!
Cheers guys!
