Mofilm is hiring for three different positions: Head of Business Development, Agency Producer (West Coast Based) and a Social Media Intern. Read on to learn more, we look forward to hearing from you.

The Company:

Head of Business Development East:

***Please note, this role will be NYC based.***

You – have an entrepreneurial spirit, a desire to be a difference maker by delivering revenue growth and have a passion for delivering incredible client experiences. You are a self starter, a team player who can operate independently and above all, someone who loves a challenge.

We – are group of ambitious and creative folks who are helping change the video content ecosystem by bringing a more diverse and relevant group of filmmakers closer together than ever before with brands; to create amazing content people want to watch like this work for Target and many of these stories for DoorDash. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead new business development in partnership with the CEO:
    • Collaborate in crafting sales strategy and narratives
    • Deck development
    • Pricing Strategy 
    • Contract management
  • Own revenue responsibility in bringing in new business
  • Co-own relationships with strategic clients, meeting and exceeding revenue growth targets, in partnership with Producers.
    • Deliver outstanding customer experiences and management
    • Develop and manage annual account plans and client growth strategy
    • Nurture strategic partnerships with key decision makers

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to any and all strategic pitches and proposals
  • Be constantly striving to find ways that we can do things better, faster and cheaper
  • Working with ECD to ensure we’re structuring programs with the capability to deliver creative excellence

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10 years experience in consultative/solution sales role
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets
  • Experience in creative strategy 
  • Proven track record in selling creative solutions to brands and or agencies

Additional Experience:

  • Brand Marketing experience a plus (direct or indirectly supporting or selling into brand marketers)
  • Startup Experience a plus

Agency Producer:

***Please note, we are open to candidates based anywhere on the West Coast***

We are seeking an amazing team player to join our MoFam as a West Coast based Agency Producer. As a member of our in-house producer team you will use a wide range of skills on a daily basis. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Help to build and execute our clients’ content strategies
  • Develop and craft briefs
  • Identify filmmakers to pitch on briefs based on style, expertise and relevance to brand
  • Craft creative ideas with filmmakers 
  • Present creative/strategic & production approaches to clients 
  • Oversee multiple productions to ensure consistency of output
  • Manage and track scopes and budgets to ensure profitable margins 
  • Track & report revenue on all projects you lead 
  • Collaborate with finance throughout reconciliation & job closure
  • Be the main point of contact for both filmmakers and clients throughout the whole production process
  • Lead company wide initiatives and contribute to MOFILM’s culture

Type of Experience:

  • 3-5 years client facing experience in advertising – in production, project management and / or client services
  • Experience articulating and advising on video and photography productions 
  • Experience working with and building ongoing relationships with clients 
  • Experience working across multiple projects, managing timelines and budgets 
  • Experience working closely with creative people
  • A passion for creativity, ideally reflected through previous work, or hobbies / outside interests

Core Skills:

There are three key skills that we are looking for from this candidate:

The first is their ability to curate work alongside filmmakers and creatives, and actively help them to shape their creative ideas. They will play a key role (alongside our ECD) in honing scripts and treatments, offering creative suggestions and making sure that all content produced is on brief and strategically correct. The candidate therefore needs to have strong creative intuition and feel comfortable playing a key role in the creative development process.

The second key skill is project management. At MOFILM we work fairly independently on projects and the onus is on Producers to manage their own projects effectively and efficiently. This candidate needs to be very self-motivated and comfortable working in a flexible, non-traditional environment. You will need to have the ability to go-with-the-flow whilst having those innate organizational skills that mean you can juggle multiple clients, projects and filmmakers at any one time. Your attention to detail needs to be absolute – but it’s about interpreting the details the organization needs, not just being a whizz with a filing system. 

The third key skill set is account management. The candidate will need to be comfortable communicating with clients and colleagues of all levels of seniority and have the awareness to adapt their communication style accordingly. More specifically have the natural ability to partner with clients that benefit both Mofilm and their business. Also need to have the desire to sell (with a production/creative lens), to both new and existing clients. Organic growth with existing clients makes up the majority of our business so nurturing client relationships and building trust is at the core of our business model.

Key Personality Traits:

  • Must have an excited energy; a hungry self-starter & take feel comfortable taking full ownership & responsibility of their projects 
  • Organized and detail oriented. Strong process orientation
  • Must be articulate; superb written and verbal communication to relay information clearly. Professional when necessary, personal when appropriate. 
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment while maintaining calm, balanced, level-headed nature. 
  • Collaborative yet highly autonomous. Must be productive and efficient, decisive but respectful of, and comfortable with ever changing priorities.
  • Can see the big picture while also focusing on the details.

Social Media Intern:

Mofilm is looking for an intern who’s interested in gaining hands on experience in social media marketing and community engagement this summer. This internship will be approximately 2-3 days a week, remotely based and a paid opportunity. Intern must provide their own computer. US based candidates only.

We are a small, incredibly collaborative and close knit team. We are looking for a team player who loves social media marketing and community engagement. This role will support our team by creating a consistent social media presence on Mofilm’s platforms and growing our creator community engagement.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Understand our brand voice and how that can translate into content on our social channels and community engagement opportunities.
  • Manage content calendar and weekly posts for our social media channels that engage both our filmmaker community and our new business community.
  • Assist in developing creative content across social platforms including Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter, FB and more.
  • Engage our global community of filmmakers for filmmaker spotlight campaigns.
  • Support a myriad of other tasks including curating and organizing user generated content and other social assets, occasional community management, performance tracking and more.


The ideal candidate is a current student, studying Communications, Marketing, Film or a related field. Must be a self-starter with an excitement for social media and working with a creative team.

Start date is flexible, est. June 1st. Internship will be completed once 250 hours have been completed.
