MOFILM and Chevrolet celebrate the power of football in India

In October, Chevrolet built a football pitch in New Delhi, India and asked us to delve into the backstory around the community that the pitch would benefit, as well as the characters who they had partnered with to help bring the project to life.

We teamed up with experienced documentary filmmaker Jake Viramontez to tell the story. From the moment it was presented the client fell in love with his treatment and vision for the film. Since Jake had not shot in New Delhi before, we partnered him with local MOFILMers Insha & Ishan Kapoor who acted as the fixers on the ground and leant invaluable production support.

The resulting film is a beautiful documentary, which is heartfelt and cinematic. For Chevrolet, stories like these are exactly why they invest in the wider football programme to the extent that they do – incorporating everything from community based soccer schools to pitch builds in underdeveloped areas and fan ‘surprise and delight’ experiences.
