Killer Toys by Dongjie Zhu

By MOFILM

This week we head to China for our video highlight, a brilliant little short by young animator and illustrator Dongjie Zhu.

A playful piece, showing the imaginary battle between two young boys, the film’s colourful animation belies a slightly more serious message – the boys fighting is undercut by footage of real war playing out underneath the credits…

Dongjie created the film as part of his final year at university, so props to him for what looks like a real nascent talent in the works!

Hope you enjoy the film as much as we did!
