We are delighted to announce that we have hired award-winning visual artist Lorie Jo Trainor Buckingham as our new Executive Creative Director, taking over from the wonderful Trak whilst she heads off on maternity leave.
This is not our first encounter with Lorie Jo who won a Cannes Lion and D&AD pencil in 2017 for the work she did with us for Cornetto. Along with Lee Margolis in our NYC office, she’ll be responsible for developing our 10,000-strong community of global creators and curating their ideas for our clients.
Prior to joining MOFILM, Lorie Jo co-founded artist studio A Taste Of Space where she collaborated with brands including Tate Modern and Diesel. She has also creatively directed projects for Lipton, KP Snacks and Penguin and was part of MOFILM’s global community of creators for 5 years.
Lorie Jo had this to say:
“The thing that attracted me about working at MOFILM is their belief that the more voices that are heard the more people will listen. What is amazing about MOFILM is they have over 10,000 voices to listen to in their creative community. It is such a unique opportunity to get to work with this large pool of creative talent – the most diverse in the world – and help them to make exceptional work that resonates with real people”
Needless to say our CEO Rebecca Sykes is delighted too:
“We champion diversity in all forms at MOFILM, which includes working with people from different backgrounds, specialisms and technical skill sets. Having Lorie come in with her ‘beyond-the-industry’ perspective is invaluable. Her knowledge and experience will be a great asset to our global community and the amazing brands we work with.”
