Mofilm Diversity Pledge, Quarter 1 of 2021

By Sam Kauffmann

At Mofilm, the idea of diverse thinking leading to better work has been true since our inception a decade ago. Last year it became increasingly clear that our unique offering of access to a global network of diverse creatives was a solution the industry desperately needed.

We believe that Many Voices (and not the privileged few) are the way to create inclusive, relatable, “tone-deaf free” content.

So in 2020, we took our ethos and made it a pledge.

We are happy to report that in Q1 of 2021, we engaged with 97 creators across 16 productions; 39 were presented to our clients for commission.
· Of the 39, 48.72% were female; 53.85% were a POC
· Of the 16 that were commissioned by our clients, 62.5% were female; and 56.25% were a POC

We build opportunities for the emerging, unrepresented and underrepresented talent; beyond that, we give brands the platform to create content for the people by the people.

We are grateful to work with amazing brands who realize that creative must be culturally nuanced from the start, which is where Mofilm’s diverse network of creators shines.

While we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished, it’s important to recognize that we’re working to further extend the scope of our pledge to be more inclusive of all underrepresented creators across all communities.

Here’s to embracing progression in the times to come. Interested in partnering with us to accelerate your brand’s mission? Reach out to our team!
