Last night, surrounded by the cream of the creative crop in the heart of South London, the MOFILM team behind Cornetto Cupidity picked up another award. This time it was a Wood Pencil from the prestigious D&AD Awards, adding to the haul of two silver Lovies, a Silver Cannes Lion and an AdWeekWatch Award.
We’re particularly excited about our latest trophy, not just because we’ve been supporting the new D&AD’s Next Director Award in its first year, and hope to keep doing so into 2016 and beyond. Partly it is because the D&AD, or Design and Art Direction, Awards were founded by some true icons of the creative world, including David Bailey and amazing people such as Alan Parker and Dave Trott have all been involved. But mainly we excited because the D&AD’s exist to help and nurture creative talent, which is what we also try to do here at MOFILM. So it is amazing for work created by our community to be recognised and celebrated and we want to extend a massive thank you and well done to the filmmakers who have contributed to the series so far.
We’re proud of all the work we help to get created and we’re especially proud of the Cornetto Cupidity series. Which in case you didn’t know, is a series of short films about love. Filmed on location around the world, each gives a glimpse into a relationship between a young couple, all of whom are given a helping hand by a wise Cupid. While the series is brought to you by Cornetto, the focus is very much on the story, all of which reflect the brand’s strap line of “Enjoy the ride, Love the ending’.
The third series is about to launch, so now is the perfect time to give series one and two another watch.
