Following the success of MOFILM’s first collaboration with Bose for its “Music is my_” campaign, we’re very excited to share with you the films generated by our second Bose video contest, as well as telling you some more about each of the directors of the winning films. Bose had an unprecedented response to this brief (who knew you guys were into music as much as you are into film) and we were blown away by all of the entries.
The brief of “Music is my_”, asked filmmakers to tell stories about people that have a strong connection to music; how it makes them feel, how it transforms experiences, and how it pushes you to achieve more. This time, rather than including Bose speakers in the spots, Bose wanted the films to incorporate its first on-ear wireless Soundlink Bluetooth headphones: which by their very nature lend themselves to a more introverted perspective. So without further a do, lets take a look at the winning films!
1st Max Sherman “Music is my_ Moment”
Featuring Taylor Hatala and her explosive dance moves this film packs a punch! We couldn’t believe her talent and skill and think this is a very worthy winner from Max and team. His second win in as many competitions (Axe being his first last year), we look forward to seeing more great stuff from him.
2nd Davide Gentile “Music is my_ Language”
Long time MOFILM Director Davide returns after concentrating on other projects with an ambitious idea that himself and his extensive team managed to pull off to perfection!
3rd Alex O’Rourke “Music is my_ Time Machine”
An epic display of Rio’s landscape and culture with a truly authentic story. Alex features ACME, an artist who takes inspiration from everything and everyone around him. With a banging soundtrack courtesy of Sango this film really stood out.
4th Stuart Birchall “Music_ is my Sanctuary”
Stuart has a background in rock music videos, little did we know that he could lend his hand to something a little more delicate. A stunning film with fabulous location and beautiful original score. Enjoy this tranquil excursion from busy bustling life.
5th Filip Syczynski “Music is my_ Heartbeat”
Filip is a seasoned Director of MOFILM and this film really shows off his great array of skills and imagination. Taking another authentic perspective of a female drummer Filip has created a visually impactful piece. How on earth did you manage to get that orchestral hall?!
