By Ryan Deluchi

Welcome to the third session of the Academy for African Filmmakers 2016 with Director Robin Goode. In this interview Robin discusses the importance of patience at every stage of a filmmaking career and how there is no wrong, or right way to build your filmmaking career. After starting in advertising, it’s not surprising that Robin also talks about how directing commercials can really help hone your filmmaking skills.

After starting his career  as a Creative Director, and winning awards at Cannes including Saatchi & Saatchi’s Young Director of 2011, Robin has transitioned into film.. After directing some short films, he’s currently working on his first feature.

Watch the video above to find out more about his experiences and why he thinks you should just go for it. Don’t forget to visit the www.MOFILM.com/AAF to download a Unilever brief that could see you winning $5,000 (USD) plus get funding to bring your film to live and a directors fee. Not forgetting the chance to see your work broadcast.
