Academy for African Filmmakers 2016: Buzi Sazani, Producer

By Ryan Deluchi

Welcome to the first filmmaker tutorial of the 2016 Academy for African Filmmakers presented by MOFILM & Unilever. The series starts with producer Busi Sizani who talks about how she got started in the industry, what her inspiration is and the challenges of producing her first feature.

That feature, Ayanda, premiered at the 2015 Durban International Film Festival and had its North American premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival later that same year, where it won a special mention in the World Fiction Awards.

Watch the video above to find out more, and don’t forget to visit the www.MOFILM.com/AAF to download a Unilever brief that could see you winning $5,000 (USD) plus get funding to bring your film to live and a directors fee. Not forgetting the chance to see your work broadcast.
