MOFILM leads the crowdsourcing industry in terms of fairness, transparency and prize pots. Simply put MOFILM gives more cash to more filmmakers to produce great content. Our objective is to lower the cost of participation and increase the likelihood that great videos will be made, that the brands will then use. Additionally, the wide variety of on the ground mega events and filmmaker mini-events around the world is creating a community that is both inspired and connected.

Contests Prizes MOFILM consistently provides the biggest prize pot in the industry, with the standard prize pot being $22,000. From this we award five filmmakers, if the brand likes more than five films, then more money is awarded to more filmmakers. We also take our first place winner, plus a guest on all expenses paid trip to meet brand representatives, fellow winners, the MOFILM team and the odd celebrity, in exotic locations, from the USA West Coast to the foothills of the Himalayas.

Production Grants MOFILM awards cash grants to filmmakers to cover production expenses. Ten grants from $500 to $2,500 are usually available each brand contest. The money can be spent on any aspect of production and is paid after the film has been submitted, along with the necessary clearance paperwork. The funds are paid regardless of whether the video is then selected as a winner or not. Grants are open to all filmmakers but your chances of being successful in your application is greatly improved if you have a MOFILM Profile, with examples of your previous MOFILM entries and/or a link to your show reel. Of course, it always helps to get your application in as early as you can.

Broadcast Payments The quality of MOFILM entries has just got better and better and better, and more are being selected by brands for broadcast. MOFILM and the brands want to recognise this increased value. So MOFILM is now starting to introduce additional payments for when a video is broadcast on television or at the cinema. The filmmaker can receive a payment of up to $10,000 and the principal talent in the piece will also be rewarded. The payment scale is $1,000 each for content aired in USA, UK and Canada, $500 for Australia and Western Europe, and $250 for the rest of the world.

Music Payments MOFILM is working hard on increasing our music offering, which includes rewarding the musicians in our community. There are a wide range of music payments that occur ranging from $100's for aspiring musicians to $10,000's for more established artists (details to follow).
