11th February 2009, Madrid, Spain: MOFILM, the world’s biggest mobile film festival and IberMinuto, the Spanish One Minute Film Festival of Spain & The Americas, today announced a partnership to collaborate more closely on promoting short form video content for mobile.

The MOFILM Mobile Short Film Festival is the biggest mobile film festival in the world with backing from the GSM Association. Founded in 2007, originally as a collaboration between the Sundance Institute and the mobile industry, MOFILM highlights the increasing influence of the mobile medium on the entertainment industry, bringing together art, commerce and technology. MOFILM 2009 will be hosted by Kevin Spacey, two-time Academy Award winning actor and director. MOFILM also works with mobile operators and service providers to distribute ‘made-for-mobile’ content.

“The Iberminuto One Minute Film Festival of Spain & The Americas was founded in 2006 to show how mobile films can be created and produced either by professionals or amateurs, for the new entertainment, information and education mobile medium. Iberminuto focuses on promoting creativity and content for mobile in a growing world-wide marketing of more than 500M (five hundred million) spanish speaking subscribers”
